The security situation in the central american countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua has gotten worse over the past 5 years mainly because of the remaining underlying causes of poverty and lack of prosecution for crimes. 4. How many security guards do they employee
5. How many security investigations have they done in Central America
6. How does the security company do the investigation. Do they use private and public databases?
7. Who is the owner and what is their background for the security company.
8. Does the security company have the proper legal rights to operate in the countries they perform their services. If they do not and your
company employes this security company, does that leave your company open to liabilities.
9. Like hiring any other supplier for your business, do your due diligence when choosing a security company in Central America.
A good security company can and does help your business increase the bottom line. However, care must be taken into who the security company is, how long they have been around and what references they have. If not, your picking a non legal security company may be opening up your company to liabilities.
